To put this sole objective into practice and to extend benefits and assistance to all sections of the society in fields of Medical, Education & Charitable Fields, the Adani Group established Shri Shantilal Bhudarmal Adani Charitable Trust in May, 1996.

The trust has to it's credit : -

·       Mobile dispensary acquired in February, 1999, is visiting the Mundra Taluka villages and has treated 62489 patients free, till August,2006.

·       Medical camps are held for the rural population where 3000 patients have been checked, treated & provided free medicines for diseases pertaining to Orthopaedic, Eyes, Skin, ENT, Dental, Gynaecological and other General types. Blood donation camps are held quite often.

·       Pathological Lab is carrying out the various tests for the populace of Mundra Taluka, Adani group employees and the Satellite industries.

·       Financial assistance for critical diseases and supply of free medicines has been done for 3431 patients, who visited the trust office at Ahmedabad till August, 2006.

·       Treating patients during epidemics and shifting the serious ones to good Govt. Hospitals. Patients attended - 2386.

·       Cattle vaccination camps are held from time to time, where 10,000 cattle have already been vaccinated against foot and mouth diseases till August 2006.

·       Construction of toilets, as a facility from health & hygiene point of view, for the labour force of 3500 persons, living in village labour colonies & working for the upcoming industries in Mundra.

·       Up gradation of infrastructure of village schools by construction of rooms, providing of teachers, computers and sports kits. Up till, 1358 students benefited.

·       Providing of scholarship to bright students in Ahmedabad. Scheme started in July 2004 and seventy students benefited.

·       Payment of fees for the school going children of  weaker section of the society. Scheme started in 1999 and seven Hundred Four students benefited. Sponsoring of sports persons also taken up from 2003.

·       Providing of educational materials such as books, notebooks, reference books, educational instruments to the students of village schools. Five Thousand students covered.

·       Adani DAV Public School, Mundra, a CBSE syllabus school with 10+2 level started in June, 2001 after earthquake of Jany.,2001. Presently, 640 students are studying up to XII standard.

·       Provided all types of assistance from food to shelter and also donations during earth quakes, floods, cyclones & other natural calamities in the country.

·       Constructed water tanks, canals, Check dams and Ponds for tackling water scarcity, recharging of wells & water conservation. Twelve Thousand people benefited.

·       Under the watershed program, trust built eight big and small dams in Bhadreshwar village.

·       Donations are given to various institutions, agencies, schools & colleges for maintenance, Samooh Lagan, supply of fodder for cattle during draught, medical purposes, educational purposes, Publication of book, Panjrapoles & running kitchens.
